Highlights of Department:

Lingual Braces: Unlike the traditional braces lingual braces are almost entirely invisible and more esthetic. The brackets are bonded on the back of the teeth surface, rather than the front.

Self ligating brackets: These brackets use an innovative spring clip to engage the wire into the brackets. They do not require the traditionally used elastic ties to engage the wire into the bracket slot making them easier to clean. They braces apply a gentle, continuous force to align teeth into the proper positions, resulting in more comfort to the patients.

Invisalign: They are recent orthodontic devices that are removable, transparent, plastic aligners used to adjust teeth. The Invisalign system uses a series of custom-made, computer-generated plastic aligners to straighten your teeth. Treatment involves the use of multiple aligners for a specific period of time to achieve the final result. Each set of aligners is designed to make small changes to the alignment of the teeth.

Skeletal anchorage devices: used in treating border line cases that were previously thought to be difficult, if not impossible. They give absolute anchorage which allows tooth movements to occur without any reciprocal, unwanted effects on other teeth of the dental arch.

Dentofacial Orthopedics: Appliances like Headgear, Face mask, chin cup and other fixed and removable Functional appliances are used to redirect the growth in children. They help in correcting the skeletal malocclusions which leads to improvement in the profile of the patients

Surgical Orthodontics: After the completion of growth Dentofacial orthopedics cannot be done. At this stage to correct Jaw irregularaties, surgical orthodontics (also known as orthognathic surgery) is done to improve your facial appearance, ability to chew, speak, and breathe.

Orthodontic treatment for Cleft lip and Palate patients: Orthodontic treatment for patients with cleft lip and palate is complex, due to an increased frequency and severity of dental anomalies such as missing or impacted teeth, collapsed maxillary arch and under developed maxilla. Growth, timing of bone grafts and orthognathic surgery must be factored into the already complicated orthodontic treatment plan to achieve acceptable results.
